Wait for it..Trixie counter-surfing for sushi salmon! Even on prescribed meds for fireworks, Trixie doesn't miss a beat! The salmon was for her too but I'd been giving her tiny pieces one by one when she heard fireworks. I'd stepped away to make her a lick mat. #rplus #dogdad #forcefree #dogtrainer

Does it feel counter-intuitive to give your scared / barking / growling dog a treat?!?! You're not alone. This has meant a lot of unlearning for me.

"Balanced" dog training is anything but! There is nothing true or good about "balanced" dog training. "Balanced" is just a misleading word for using fear and pain on your dog.

Trixie resettling after package delivery! So happy and proud of Trixie to see this. We’re step by step helping Trixie reset on separation anxiety in a new place, after multiple moves. Trixie barked a few times when delivery came but then settled back on this bed. Way to go Beano! #rplus #forcefree

Trixie crushing an easy separation anxiety mission today. Yesterday she did great on a long assessment. She also moved around a bunch to places where she could see the door. So I put a bed down for her and she used it on this absence! So proud of our Bean! #rplus #forcefree #dogdad
