Remember when GW Bush was called the "compassionate Conservative" when he ran for office?

Yeah, still awaiting any real compassion from the GOP. That concept seems foreign to them.

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

They tried to file this as a felony assault with a sandwich...rejected. They went for a misdemeanor assault... and people reporting from the court room showed that it was a complete clown show...utter joke.

No surprise that the jury came back NOT GUILTY.

OK...Serious question here. How many men use that flap in their underwear when they go to the bathroom? I for one have never used it.

Customs and Border Patrol agents are turning out to be big ass babies.

*sob* "I could smell the onions and mustard. It will forever scar me, and I can't eat sandwiches now..."
Border Patrol agent Lairmore testifies that he was not injured by the sandwich, but he felt the impact through his ballistic vest.

The sandwich came apart and "kind of exploded" on his chest upon impact, he says.

"I could smell the onions and mustard."

This is the Trial of the Century! And I really wish there were cameras in the courtroom.
Big day at U.S. District Court in D.C. where Sean Dunn, the D.C. Sandwich Guy, is on trial for misdemeanor assault of a federal officer.

Border Patrol agent Gregory Lairmore is on the stand narrating surveillance video of the sammie toss.

'Now he’s struck me with the sandwich,' Lairmore says.

As Democrats have said for 3 weeks, despite the shutdown, Trump had the money for SNAP all along.

He chose not to feed the poor and used the shutdown as pretext. If he hadn't held SNAP hostage, there would not have been a funding delay, and 42M people would not be going hungry.

What it sounds like when you have to spread out your answer in a calm voice so that you don’t just accidentally blurt out “what the fuck are you talking about?!”
I love how Rep. Joe Neguse reframed this question.

Color me surprised. RFK Jr. admits not enough evidence to back up his moronic claim about Acetaminophen and autism. Made a claim, and hoped/prayed something might come of it I suppose.

More racist crap from JD Vance... and pure fiction. No tribes in what would become the United States did child sacrifices. This is the justification that conquerors use to say "God sent us to these lands to free them from evil." Manifest Destiny crap.

As for Christians... Salem Witch Trials anyone?
JD Vance: "When settlers came to the new world they found widespread child sacrifice. If you go to historical sites where there are brothels and you dig up the bones of women, you will find a lot of children buried with them. Christian civilization ended the practice of child sacrifice."

Does he seriously not know how racist this statement is? His wife is INDIAN (from India).

I live in a neighborhood next to a Thai temple...many of my neighbors are Thai. A few are Armenian, and handful of Hispanic neighbors amongst others. We all get along JUST fine.

What total outward racism.
Vance says it is "totally reasonable and acceptable" for people to not want to live next door to people who speak a different language than they do

Sterlin Harjo's THE LOWDOWN is a pretty darn good series. Took me two episodes to really get into it, but I am. He's responsible for RESERVATION DOGS...and this is a great follow up. I love creators who stick to the states and communities that they know (in his case, Oklahoma)

Shame, I did use it to discover new music, but won't support this crap. Their ad placement was annoying anyway.
