I could never quite get the hang of Twitter/X, Facebook is a nightmare, and Instagram is only for obscure Australian fauna. It seems nice over here.
I've always liked astronomy, but recently I have fallen hard and heavy in love with space itself. Thinking about the hydrogen line, black holes, the cosmic microwave background all choke me up. Is it too late to become a cosmologist? Probably. Also math.

I did not expect to become a Cervix Evangelist, but here I am. The supracervical Reddit expert.

Someone asked me if I was boycotting the Super Bowl. Sure. In as much as my agoraphobia and social anxiety are social distancing.

Ah, there it is. Gilead.

This is why they are hellbent on destroying public and higher education.
Border czar Tom Homan is on CNN complaining that Chicago is “very well educated” and people “know their rights” too well for ICE to be able to enforce mass deportations. Good work, neighbors.

Very bad dreams all night, and in all of them I had my Sandman tattoos again. So very glad that they are covered. So very disgusted that they were there at all.

Why isn't this bigger news? This is horrifying and very scary. I am so nervous about the parades that I either ride in, march in, or watch. If fear is how terrorists win, then fine. Life isn't a game anyway.
St. Aug’s band practice ended early Wednesday after a PT Cruiser nearly hits several high schoolers.

Witnesses tell us that the driver sped through the group several times, threatening the band. Students were safely rushed back to campus.

Dear Santa...
Jean-Marie Le Pen, the French far right leader, died today.

If you wonder how many French people feel about that, these are the scenes of celebration on the streets of Paris this evening.

One sign reads “The dirty racist is dead”.

I suppose I must get comfortable over here if the already obnoxious Facebook plans to be the next Xlike cesspool. At least Instagram has pretty pictures.

Also terrified. I know what I want but I feel guilty for wanting it.
The next crowd event is tomorrow, that rescheduled football game. Fine. Then there's Jeanne d'Arc on the 6th. I'm fucking terrified. We draw a huge crowd, passing something like 28+ blocks and all their intersections. I don't even know what I want or what to say.

Homicide is the leading cause of death in pregnant women. I wonder how that will shift when women's healthcare is fully destroyed?

Recycling has always been aspirational. Single stream is a lie. The industry has always pushed the idea of recycling over reusing.
Did you know only 5% of Americans’ plastic finds new life?

Most plastic items are too small for recyclers to bother sorting and processing, or they're assembled in such a way that it's less expensive to just make new plastic.

When Is “Recyclable” Not Really Recyclable? When the Plastics Industry Gets to Define What the Word Means.
Companies whose futures depend on plastic production are trying to persuade the federal government to allow them to put the label “recyclable” on plastic shopping bags and other items virtually…

We do not have an infertility crisis. We have a healthcare crisis. We have a childcare crisis. We have a housing crisis.
