Yeah, that kind of up front cash would be better spent on an injection mold.

Usually cost prohibitive, also most require you to provide RAL or Pantone codes for the colors, so you need to also buy color cards from those brands to compare to which can cost hundreds to thousands of dollars.
The places I've found want minimum orders of around 50kg at $30 a spool.

I have a LA at the shop, I can look into it. Might be a good project for my other 3d modeler to work on.

I would need the filament to be color matched first. The GameCube Indigo color is not something being sold by any filament manufactures.

SD2SP2 ACE will be released for order on Monday.
Finally have the fit and finish where I want it. Added a snap clip, and a foot so it doesn't sag under the console, and the foot fits perfectly into a GameBoy Player if that is also installed.

Yeah, that side port seems to be pretty locked down by Sega. It uses some custom chips to talk with the Dreamcast.
February 5, 2026 at 1:10 PM
There is one but it only works in Dreamshell. It also connects to the serial port, not the side slot. I was looking at potentially making a few. I am following a lead on serial port connectors.

Potentially. I don't want to get people's hopes up as I do not maintain Swiss and can't add that support myself. This device has the speed needed, but without support in Swiss all it can do is emulate a BBA for use in games If that does come out for it I'll update the product page and put out guides
February 4, 2026 at 6:41 PM
It is possible for NAS loading, but that has not been implemented, and I can't guarantee it will ever make it to this device.

This one runs at 32MHz SPI speed which means there is enough speed for the feature.

The Gamecube ETH2SP1 by Laser Bear Industries is headed to the Castle!

It works with a SD2SP2 in place, both can be used at the same. The only limit is you can not emulate BBA and Emulate Memory Cards at the same time.

Pre-Orders for ETH2SP1 are live, get your GameCube BBA Alternative order in. Shipping expected Early March.
These can be used with SWISS to emulate BroadBand Adapter functionality in games that support BBA.

@8bitmods.bsky.social will also carry them.

Damn these Noctua NF-A4x10 5v are beautiful in Black with the Brown bumpers. Been a while since we could stock this color way. I need to get the tariff invoice from UPS before I list them I have an idea what that looks like but until I get the final pricing I can't list these for sale.

Getting ready to send off the first test unit for @darthcloud.blueretro.com threw together a test firmware to validate the addressable LEDs since they were a pain to solder. It's so nice to see them shine. #DreamcastBlueRetro
