Another blog-gallery post! This one is on NEMO, a late 60's French comic. It's reprints of Diabolik, for the most part, and only made it 6 issues plus a special, but I love the overall look and the covers, so... it gets added to my growing galleries!

Went to the smaller “Wave and Honk” No Kings protest in SE Portland this morning! Lots of families and older folks, lots of good dogs, lots of friendly car horns! This is just a small part of the crowd that was extended up and down several blocks!

Hilarious when you understand that he thinks the Nobel committee will give him a Peace Prize for his "work" to end one armed conflict while actively fomenting another in his own country. Like Norwegians can't see our Frog.

Portland: according to a post on the local Reddit, Noem's visit to the ICE building is being purposefully extended until after dark, presumably to catch some "violent antifa" propaganda. Hold off for tonight, watch out for your neighbors' safety.

One of the nice things about my new home is that my four-mile bike ride to work is invariably chock-a-block with people walking their good dogs and cute babies.

A couple of snippets from a short story I recently finished: details from a pencil rough & from a finished panel. The story is going to be published in a series that is yet to be announced, but sometimes you just want to let people know that work is happening!

My friend @terridrawsstuff.bsky.social gave me her old Singer sewing machine and I can barely read a pattern but of course I have big plans to dive into bra construction.

One thing that I try to remember, as a creator, is that, as Voltaire put it, "perfection is the enemy of good," and that perfection is also the enemy of Bargoth the Unmaker, the devourer of ten thousand suns, whose baleful eyes watch us all.

I wrote my city's waste disposal resource page to ask how to safely dispose of an old smoke detector with a sealed lithium battery in my neighborhood, and they replied with the name of a business right around the corner from me that recycles batteries for $.49/pound. THIS IS WHY GOVERNMENT MATTERS.

Listen to Hop, y'all. Anyone with paper and something to write or draw with can self-publish a physical book.
You'll probably have to blow it up or look at this on a big screen, but here is how anyone can make a little 8 page zine that they can use to write a story, write about their favorite things, a personal experience or make a mini comic. Fold some paper and get your thoughts out there!!

Once again, Piekos is standing up for all of us, laying down facts.
Artists working in mainstream USA comics: Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Image, etc. all expect art to these dimensions. I'm seeing more and more disregard for the standard specs, and it affects everyone's deadlines to have production try and wrestle your art into proper proportions.
