A favourite!
The Little White Rose
(To John Gawsworth)

The rose of all the world is not for me.
I want for my part
Only the little white rose of Scotland
That smells sharp and sweet—and breaks the heart.

I miss Valentina & her kiosk. I miss her positivity & warm-heartedness. Valentina has been undergoing cancer treatment. To cheer her up I turned the Valentina’s Kiosk theme into a song & the legendary BBC Singers
have recorded it for her. Here is Valentina’s Song. Conducted by David Hill.

Another story that started on The Other Place. This is, once again, about the value of talking. Everyone has a story they can tell, and some might need to tell. We just need to learn how to properly listen. But I guess most of all it's about hope. 1/21

It's a long time since I last saw I Know Where I'm Going! and back then I wouldn't have known that Ho Ro My Nut-Brown Maiden was the first Gaelic song ever recorded on a gramophone record (by The Queen of Scottish Song, Jessie MacLachlan. who is buried in Cathcart Cemetery in Glasgow).
