I was in Spain recently and had a nice convo in Spanish with a waiter which I was sorta proud of except at the end where my brain forgot "muchas gracias" and went for "dziękuję bardzo" and he looked at me with the puzzlement of a guy who just got told he was laid off after 16 years of loyal service
