The children have been busy creating their own colourful 2-D shaped robots using a variety of shapes. Each robot is unique showing creativity & understanding of how shapes can fit together and make different designs. It was lovely to see them express their individuality through art and imagination.

Remembrance Day 11/11. Y1 have created poppies out of clay like Paul Cummins, a British ceramic artist -“Blood swept lands and seas of red” at the Tower of London which featured over 800 000 ceramic poppies. His work symbolises the lives lost in war. We remember those who have served and sacrificed.

His work symbolises the lives lost in war. We remember those who have served and sacrificed.
Some of the Forest School children enjoyed a walk to Alexandra Park this week to visit the cenotaph and learn about why we remember and pay respect on Remeberance Sunday. We also made nature poppy's using a square lashing technique and willow from our Forest School site.

We have been using our superhero senses to explore different science experiments. The children were given two identical jars—one containing salt and the other sugar—and asked to use their senses to figure out which was which. the only way to be sure was by tasting!
