In the early hours of 6/28/1969, New York City police raided the Stonewall Inn, a gay club in Greenwich Village. This sparked a riot among bar patrons & neighborhood residents, leading to 6 days of protests & violent clashes with law enforcement. Our fight is not over. Pride is-was-&-will be a riot.
