@koparafallskid.bsky.social No more Aurora tonight folks but I did get you the Pleiades, the Hyades and Orion.

Another day down. I also shot this on a 1986 $10 point and shoot 35mm Kodak VR35 Ektar film camera for a giggle. Results interesting as the camera fired the flash which will be a waste but the ASA 400 film will compensate.

The supreme irony of today's party room meeting of the Noalition is that we ... the voters ... have only ourselves to blame. If we had not defeated Scott Morrison then in a later election put 93 Labor members in charge the Libs and Nats would have no platform for opposition

And the Pleiades on their ownsome. As I say it gets better as the summer progresses (Australia).

Tonight fr the first time in 6 months I bring you Orion and it's Nebula. Shot with a Sony a6000 and a Kamlan 50mm F/1.1 lens at 6 seconds and ISO 2500.

As the season progresses I will use better lenses and also not be so affected by street lights and houses.

Been out the back for the last half hour with cat attacks in every direction and death from above at any moment. I just wanted a sundown.

Bottom left Chernye with Snowy leaping over all, Tabs in the middle and little Sandy on the right. There were more cats about.

Sisters sharing a breakfast yummy treat, getting very tame.

@veronicaf.bsky.social Lined young Fearless up with a vet appointment for a spay again. She came and joined our kitties in February and is still unpattable. Last night we did EVERYTHING right to get her into a carrier, even a companion cat, even PRAWNS! Yet when the time came ... no catch.

There it goes again.

Yum.

Incredible the amount of gunk still coming off these viewfinder windows (that I cleaned yesterday) with isopropanol alcohol on a cotton swab. Clean swab and a few wipes. Could do with more yet. Kodak Brownie 1922.

What was this morning a rusty dirty lensed beat up $20 junk bucket Kodak Box Brownie 2E (with a broken strap) is now a fully functional but mostly restored shooter. This model fits the standard 120 roll film and I do have some in hand here.

Might rain.

A nice little Double Barred finch foraging for grass seeds in my yard (risky operation).

Ginger is a reliable cat ... never picks fights and always treats the littler ones well. Greets me with a raised head smile but he is NOT a lap or cuddle kitty.

A fuller Moon at 98.6% than it was last night when it wasn't a Full Moon at 99.8%. At least it isn't a Beaver Moon in Australia ... Platypus Moon perhaps.

The people who voted overwhelmingly in the USA for NON RIGHT WING candidates and causes do NOT want Communism ...

THEY WANT DEMOCRACY RESTORED and they definitely DO NOT WANT TRUMP NAZISM.
November 6, 2025 at 12:32 AM
With only an hour to go before it is full ... I am calling it. November 5 Full Moon (not a Beaver or Moose or Chipmunk in sight), caught on the Nikon P610 Bridge Camera at 1320mm focal length and 1/800th second F/5.6.
November 5, 2025 at 12:15 PM
My wife´s Canon Bridge Camera did a much nicer job on the Moon. Canon Powerhot SX70HS ... great for birdies and critters and also does a good Moonie thing.
November 5, 2025 at 9:46 AM
November 5 Australia and this is the closest we will get to a full Moon @ 99.8%. Just after midnight it wil be fuller so I will try it on the Nikon Bridge Camera ... this 180mm lens isn´t quite out there.

Donald Trump should be impeached and charged with election interference in the New York elections this week, even if this were his ONLY crime it is enough that he stands AGAINST DEMOCRACY in the USA.

He threatens that city with Federal funding cuts if people don´t vote his way.
