It’s funny how much life changes over the years. Saturday nights used to mean heading out, catching up with friends, and staying out late.

So remember that faulty HDD I had about a week ago?
I just realised I didn’t ZeroFill it, so I have to do that before having it replaced as I had sensitive enterprise code on it.
What is ZeroFill? ZeroFill erases data by overwriting it with zeros making it less likely the data can be recovered.

My hard drive failed and can’t reallocate sectors. It’s under warranty, but I lack space on other drives. I bought an 8TB drive to transfer data, then removed the faulty one for replacement. Annoying, but I’ll have more space later arrrggghhhhh
