A Cochrane review found that, for most people, waiting for for their haemoglobin drop to lower levels before giving a transfusion was safe and means fewer transfusions in general.

Can additional work breaks or different break patterns help workers with fatigue, reduce neck/back pain, or improve productivity?

Taking breaks is important for well-being, but the evidence is uncertain, with small studies carrying some risk of bias.
