Happy accident! This was an experiment/prototype basket and it wasn't what I was trying to make but I absolutely LOVE how it came out! It's super soft with yarn woven randomly in and out of the clothesline rope I sew baskets with. I added a little leather tab and matching rivet.

I have a custom order for a basket, and she wants colors that aren't appealing to me, but she was specific. Beige, baby pink, dark brown, and avocado green. Emphasis on the beige with hints of the other colors. Do you think these look good together?

I've finally completed my art exhibit entries and changed my mind on one. I decided my weirdly shaped, strangely colored basket would be a better entry than the octopus which I didnt really like. And I created a giant spoon to go with the giant coffee cup.

We took a beautiful drive down the coast today. It's so gorgeous here when it's sunny!

For my second art show entry I made a large coffee cup and saucer. I used about 95' of fabric wrapped rope for the cup. The saucer is 10' in diameter and about an inch high. The cup is 6 inches at the base and 9 inches at the top and is 6 inches high. I'm thinking of making a spoon to go with it.

I don't know why but I wanted to see if I could make a fabric wrapped rope octopus. There are size limitations for the art show, so it's 16"W x 21"H. You can have 2 entries, so I'm starting on the next thing tomorrow.

I decided to make a beachy little basket.
This basket was made from 100’ of 3/16” cotton/poly rope, wrapped in fabric, and finished with a 4” fabric spiral and rivet. It has an 8” base, a 10” top diameter and is 5.5” tall.The inside is smooth and the outside is frayed and textural. She’s a beauty.

I iterally worked on this for 9 hours yesterday! Isn't it beautiful? Oh, it isn't? It just looks like a big pile of fabric covered rope?? Haha. Today I'll start basket construction and hopefully turn this into something pretty. #Craftsky

Today I'm going to learn how to optimize my website with SEO. I want to focus mainly on my custom baskets & coasters. I dont want to get super busy so it's a little scary, but it'd be nice to get some traffic to my site!

This coaster set was made as a Christmas gift for a customer's Mom and Dad. It'll match the basket that was a Mother's Day gift last spring. The set came out really close to the original vibrant basket colors. The purpose was to match her Fiesta Ware. Mission accomplished!

Fuel Sunburn, STP Sour Girl, Def Leppard Animal, Whitesnake Still of the Night ... an awsome pawsome playlist is going in my craft space today...it seems like the sewing machine goes faster with the fast songs :) Yes, I said awesome pawsome. Any guesses about what's being crafted today?
