I am really happy to share that our last work from the Philips lab is now out in Cell Reports! The differential interactomes of the KRAS splice variants identify BIRC6 as a ubiquitin ligase for KRAS4A. www.cell.com/cell-reports...
The differential interactomes of the KRAS splice variants identify BIRC6 as a ubiquitin ligase for KRAS4A
Kochen Rossi et al. performed proximity labeling using the two splice variants of KRAS and defined their differential interactomes. Among the KRAS4A-specific interactors is BIRC6, a large member of the inhibitor of apoptosis proteins. BIRC6 co-localizes with KRAS4A on the Golgi and mono- and di-ubiquitinates KRAS4A but not KRAS4B.

I am honored to have received an Early Stage Investigator award and the opportunity to present my work on mitochondrial biology in Costello Syndrome at the 9th International RASopathies Symposium. I am grateful for the chance to discuss science and life’s challenges with everyone at this meeting.
The 9th International #RASopathies Symposium brought together a really fantastic group of participants & attendees. Inspiring to see the new generation coming up.
PRIORITY1️⃣Repositioning therapeutics developed for RAS-ERK signaling in oncology for the mosaic & syndromic RASopathy conditions 🙏

Hola Bluesky! 🌟
My name is Cristina, and I am a postdoctoral fellow in the Philips lab at NYU School of Medicine. During my PhD, I trained as a mitochondrial biologist, and I am currently exploring the fascinating role of this dynamic organelle in cancer and rare disorders.
