We’d describe it differently.

Once the legislature approves final capital programs it’s best to ignore the drafts that preceded them. The last four years Maryland approved the four largest CTP’s in history. The draft CTP proposed this week would be even bigger.

Heads up @mta.maryland.gov Metro riders. We need to have a shutdown on Friday evening and Sunday to allow for testing of the new vehicles. We will be operating on Saturday and Metro is a good option to get around during the Maryland Cycling Classic!

Heads up @mta.maryland.gov Light Rail riders - our service is still suspended while Baltimore City stabilizes the buildings impacted by the fire. They have heavy equipment in Howard Street which causes us to have to suspend service from Camden to North Ave.
A bus bridge is in place on the Light Rail due to the recent fire at Howard and Fayette Streets. Shuttle buses will operate between North Avenue and Camden Station until further notice. For a full list of shuttle bus stops, visit: mta.maryland.gov/shuttlestops...

Maryland has published the draft capital transportation program. It says how MDOT proposes to spend taxpayer funds on transportation projects over the next 6 years. At $21.5 billion it's Maryland's biggest ever.

The @mta.maryland.gov is still dealing with the fallout of the cyberattack which was first announced on the morning of Aug. 24—9 days ago. Mobility service and scheduling have been seriously impacted. So has real-time vehicle arrival information.

Now Chicago is moving to remove parking minimums. A similar measure, the Spaces for People Act, is in the Baltimore City council and will be heard at a hearing in early September.
