❄️Snow removal update:

* I continue to hear from residents about unplowed streets or streets in bad condition. We know it is not acceptable, and I continue to do everything in my power to get plows to your streets.

As we continue to face freezing temperatures and brace for potentially more snow, it is clear the local DC government needs to do a better job at ensuring our streets and sidewalks are safe for all passage and communicating updates with residents.

Today, I proudly introduced a bill to reform our child support system to make sure child support payments are fully going into the pockets of the families they are intended to help.

The challenges young parents in DC face are myriad, especially in cost of living, child care expenses, and access to employment. Young parents in DC must have access to good paying jobs so they can afford to live and raise their kids here.

The DC Council is in oversight season! Each year, the committee chairs hold oversight hearings for the agencies under their purview. As Chairwoman of the Committee on the Judiciary and Public Safety, I will hold public oversight hearings for all DC public safety agencies.
