Only a few days left of the 2025 Maryland legislative session! The Senate must pass HB767 – to require tenants are given at least 7 days notice of their eviction. Tenants facing eviction should AT LEAST know when it's happening.

Ms. Hunt's eviction story is a heartbreaking example of why the MD Senate must pass the Tenant Possessions Recovery Act NOW!

No one should lose their home AND all of their belongings on the same day. 46 other states agree – MD must catch up! Take action: actionnetwork.org/letters/pass...

Over 30 local lawmakers across Maryland sent this letter to members of the state Senate JPR Committee, calling for passage of Good Cause Enabling SB651 — WITHOUT amendments creating preemptions, especially related to vacancy control.

The bill’s currently on a voting list for today. 👀

Nobody should be evicted without a good reason, but in Maryland large corporate landlords file more than 5,000 eviction cases each year without providing a reason. We can change that – tell our legislators to pass a STRONG Good Cause Eviction bill! #MDGA25

We're listening to renters like Emily: “Renting just feels increasingly like I have no control over where I live." Everyone deserves stable housing. That’s why corporate landlords should have to state a reason before they evict someone. #GoodCauseEvictionNOW #MDGA25 www.nytimes.com/2024/12/11/r...

Renters know that the rent is too [damn] high & now the data backs that up -- rents have increased 22.5% statewide in the last 5 years. It's time to worry less about corporate landlords' profits & more about keeping people housed and rooted in their communities.
