If anyone's wondering, i'm still here. It's just that there's been nothing to see or photograph. The weather's not helping at all. Ok, it's been mild but lt's like there's no demarcation between night & day, just constantly dark 😩 God! I hate this time of year!

Update regards the tenanted leafmines l found on Himalayan Honeysuckle.
The brown cocoons make them Phyllonorycter emberizaepenella. Species #165 (all stages,no trapping) for the year.

Jelly Ear : first time i've seen this species growing at ground level (Crow Rd, Anniesland)
White Saddle : a wee bit late this year (F&C Canal, Temple)

Stopped off at Bingham's Pond on my way to Anniesland and was quite surprised to see a Kingfisher. The surprise relates to the actual location of the pond. I've marked the pond on the map with a star and as you can see the bird was way out of it's usual river/canal habitat!

Finished the week very much how i started it, with very little to report.
Found a November Moth agg on the gable end of the Cafe on the Canal and some nice early morning light over Possil Marsh.

A winter plumaged Black-headed Gull loafing on Bingham's Pond, Glasgow. I love the colours of the surrounding autumnal leaves reflecting on the surface of the water.

I've had to dip into my rainy day folder but it wasn't raining... In fact it was a glorious weather day but there was nothing around when i was out and about.
These 4 were all from Seton Sands/Port Seton back in Sept.
Carrion Crow, Great Black-backed Gull, Turnstone & Ringed Plover.

Walked 4.9 miles early morning and had absolutely nothing to show for it! 😔

Finally got to see a blue sky after nearly 2 weeks of constant grey! Highlights ;
November Moth agg : 8 from 4 locations.
Vine Weevil (Lochburn Rd)
Mistle Thrush (Balmore Rd)
Waxcap sp (Cadder)
Black-headed Gull : note the blue sky in the background 😉 (Summerston)

Curlew : 1 heard & seen, heading SE over Kirklee Rd. A patch first 😃
Fieldfare : 2 NE over the F&C Canal, Maryhill : My first of the autumn/winter.
Peltigera sp : several large patches, F&C Canal.

A walk through Hamiltonhill Claypits early morning produced my first Redwings (heard only) of the autumn/winter, a young Roe Deer ran across the path right front of me.... and these ;
Field Vole nest under a piece of broken concrete pipe and a very dark Ruby Tiger caterpillar.

Checked around the outside lights at the Cafe on the Canal and the gable end wall produced 3 November Moth agg, all of which had different colours/markings.
