I get the same feeling in Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor. Great sense of Post Revenge of the Sith-pre A New Hope era.

Its a little bit the same with Fullmetal Alchemist. In the first series, the original creator told the anime staff about half way through the series to go and make their own ending with what little info she provided.
She was still finishing the manga at the time. Then we had Brotherhood.

Funny thing, there were some boss fights I thought were super difficult, but after new playthroughs, they got easier.
