The bill ALSO raises taxes on batteries, geothermal and nuclear projects that can't meet significant, burdensome requirements to prove not a drop of Chinese content as well.

And they all lose accelerated depreciation too it seems.

3. It imposes A NEW tax on wind & solar projects completed after 12/31/27 that can't prove they don't contain a drop of Chinese content.

4. It raises taxes on US wind manufacturers after 12/31/27 (& on solar mfg that cant prove they dont have a drop of Chinese content, IP or ownership).

1. It ends tax cuts for wind & solar projects (PTC/ITC that have been in current law since at least 2005.

2. It kills accelerated depreciation available to wind & solar investments since 1986.

Sounds bad for wind and solar!
The Senate version of GOP's budget bill dropped in the middle of the night. Astonishingly, it got EVEN WORSE. It raises energy costs, kills $100s of billions of investment in manufacturing, makes grids less reliable, increases pollution & constrains our ability to compete w/China on AI. Loser stuff.

What they actually want, and what Trump is trying to give them, is more export capacity (pipelines, LNG export terminals) and less demand destruction (kill EV rebates).

Not good when a power plant fire makes it onto watch duty. This is the largest utility scale battery facility in the US.

My my
if you’re reading the news, you may be confused about what trump did to the wind industry yesterday.

many have told me he just ended “leases,” a thing most do not understand.

others simply that he only went after offshore wind.

but… he ended ALL federal permits to ALL wind energy.

Yes! We must reduce volatility by locking in higher priced power ALL THE TIME
Why move from price-volatile gas to zero-fuel cost Renewables?

See chart below!

Gas price spikes significantly caused large electricity price increases in 2022.

LBL says: "Utility FPP costs have risen and fallen with
natural gas prices." #energysky.
