@iansample.bsky.social The USA could produce lots of Rare Earth within his presidency and not 10 to 20 years that opening a new mine will require. Certain things need to be put in place to make this happen. I can explain this further if you want to know more.

@iansample.bsky.social I am the former director of Carbon cycle. My team developed methods to extract rare earths from waste gypsum and apatites separated from mining and process wastes. Trump’s seeking rare earth supplies abroad is misguided as the US already has mined piles of source material.
