The Seers - Psych Out (1990)
Not a contender for my 5 but a decent enough psychy garage rock sounding album. I must have thought, at the time, that it sounded good enough for me to shell out £7.49 at Oasis record shop in Beeston for it. Still worth a spin now & then.

The Seers - Psych Out (1990)

Kristin Hersh - Hips and Makers (1994)
For her solo debut album Hersh moved away from the rock-oriented music she had been part of with the Throwing Muses & released a primarily acoustic album. A nice listen.

An absolutely great debut album. You'd think that the standard may drop a bit over 2 discs, but it doesnt, a great mix of melancholy and sweetness. May not be everybody's cup of tea, but loved this band and still do.

I used to play for a Sunday morning football team as a centre back, I always thought I was a decent player. I was starting to get on a bit in years & in one game, the opposition's striker came up to me & and said, "I remember you when you were good." I hung my boots up at the end of the season.
