London, UK, based photographer, gone back to analogue, way back to a 1916 camera, and bang up to date with digital mirrorless. More is more. Don't be shuttered 📷 😉

Anything is possible. American swagger is on steroids these days.

I hope so. He seems more hardline than before - and more organised.

So let me get this right. America is planning to invade the territory of its ally Denmark. And this is different from Russian going into Ukraine? How exactly?

Doing well ❤️

I've spent a lot of time in central #Portugal which is the home of a close friend who now lives in the UK. #FigueiroDosVinhos is a small town about an hour's drive south of Coimbra which still has corners like this where time has stood still. #Canon EOS 550

One of the things about being a photographer out and about is that you sometimes witness horrific sights but you have to be professional and set aside emotions so that you can do the job. Here an innocent bystander is being devoured by a man-eating bubble. I didn't sleep for weeks afterwards.

Well. That's made my morning. I had no idea I needed to know this but it could be a useful conversation opener at dinner parties.

Worth getting up for that.

One of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited has got to be #Istanbul. There's something magical about standing on the Galata Bridge at sunset and seeing the silhouette of the city's mosques. For #photography it's a dream location.

Fabulous result.

Wonderful capture. Love the stillness.

Absolutely love this shot. What gear do you use?

If it wasn't for this pic of the #SultanMosque in #Singapore I'd have trouble remembering I was ever there. On a brief stopover from London to Sydney I had 8 hours wait. Seriously #jetlagged I took up the offer of a guided tour of the city. Slept the whole time except this stop.

One of these days I'll get a ultra telephoto lens and sky tracker and get into #astrophotography but for now I'll settle on this pic of a Supermoon event. Taken on my old #Canon
#EOS550 with a 300mm lens and cropped and enlarged. Despite the small crop it works well.

I'm English with a bit of Irish and married to someone from Clontarf, a seaside suburb of Dublin. Across the bay are the iconic Poolbeg Chimneys which U2 fans will recognise. A protected monument, they feature on numerous painting and photos of Dublin.

As a teen in the 70's I was fascinated by Albania. A communist hermit state in the North Korean mould, it adhered to a strict version of Stalinism. Cars, beards and bibles were banned and no-one could leave. Virtually no-one could enter either. Finally got there 10 years ago.

I've generally had poor experiences with the two colour Wolfen films. They're either blue and washed out, or muddy yellow and washed out. Really good to see a great result. I think like Phoenix you have to choose your subjects carefully.

I keep an occasional blog and one of the things I've been writing about is experimenting with expired film and obsolete film formats. #Blog #photography #expiredfilm

Love vintage photography, and this pic shows off just how good those early digital cameras were. This one is a Sony DSC-TI. This pic of a devotee atop a shrine was shot in Osaka.

On one of the last truly warm days last autumn, the Hindu festival of Diwali was celebrated at London's Trafalgar Square, site of many cultural events from around the world. Shot on 30 year expired Agfa XRG 200 film with 1 stop compensation.

The weather has been very cold for London and it reminded me of a trip to Iceland one winter. Dawn came very late, about 11am, but what a dawn. I climbed to the top of the big church in Reykjavik and shot this picture of a fishing trawler passing Mt. Ejsa.

This one if from the archive and about ten years old. I didn't have a tripod so I had to hold the camera very still while leaning against a post to steady myself while the people walked around my friend. It was worth the breath holding I think. #photography #nightphotography #blurredphotos
