CFL players are workers — covered by a collective agreement, but not by workers’ comp. With a 100% injury rate & avg career of just 3.5 years, that’s unacceptable.

Grateful to meet the Canadian Football League Players Association's leaders today to talk change. 🏈 #CFL #canlab

Even the Bank knows it can't fix affordability on its own.

Today's rate cut is a step in the right direction, but workers need action from the federal government: stop the cuts and start investing in people.
We have lowered our policy interest rate to 2.25%.

It’s a wrap!

Union leaders gathered in Ottawa to strategize as workers face rising costs, a housing crisis, strained public services, and trade tensions.

Canada’s unions are calling for urgent action to protect jobs, strengthen the economy, and support families.

Grateful to Martin Moen, Associate Assistant Deputy Minister of International Trade, for joining us to discuss the escalating trade war.

Workers and communities are paying the price, and we need action to protect Canadian jobs and industries.

Workers deserve respect.
Workers deserve a voice.
Workers deserve the right to strike.

Proud to stand with @cupescfp.bsky.social workers and @ndp.ca caucus members today in support of Bill C-247, to remove Section 107 from the Canada Labour Code once and for all. #canlab

The Bank of Canada cut interest rates today. That’s a step, but it’s not enough. Lower rates won’t fix a broken economy. Workers need affordable homes, good jobs, and strong public services. #cdnpoli

Workers are under constant stress, made worse by Trump’s reckless tariffs.

Now the federal gov’t is hosting the #G7 Summit and rolling out the red carpet for him? It’s a slap in the face.

It was an honour to be invited to the opening of Canada’s Parliament and to meet King Charles III. A rare opportunity and a moment full of ceremony and history. But just steps away, along Rideau Street in Ottawa, I saw a very different reality that we can’t ignore.

Didn’t think I’d be spending May Day at the Economic Club of Canada, but I’m glad I did.

Let’s build a Canada that’s strong, stable, and unstoppable.
