"A Moment in the Tower: She would give him her heart. He would give her his life. Swept into a strange land not her own, the strong-willed and gorgeous Claudi Mecru finds herself in the midst of a war. Dazzling beings of light seeking to devour her and friends at the risk of losing their aether at every moment is plenty to keep the Warrior occupied. And yet, her mind can't help but be filled to the brim with thoughts of the mysterious Crystal Exarch. Who was the man under the hood? Why did his gaze hold such rapture when they locked eyes? What sorrowful secrets did he hide behind that forced smile? How is it that everything he did made her entire being tremble with longing? While the world of light raged between life and death, her own body was at war with her mind. The desperately desired to uncover the secrets he kept close, yet he always seemed to be just out of reach, always a battlefield apart. Can Clauidi conquer the sins of the world as well as the yearning of heart? Or will all be drowned in blinding light, the tantalizing identity of the Crystal Exarch and her way home washed away in the seas or aether forever?"
