Random woman walking down Market street mumbled “Jesus fucking Christ” to no one in particular, to which I responded “I know right” and I can only imagine that she was channeling the ghost of Ben Franklin.

Headed to #assa2026?

I am not an AI doomer, but one of the bummers about academia these days is that I constantly feel like I am just grading LLM output, whether true or not. 📈📉

I am absolutely livid with the political propaganda in my kid’s school this week. They’re grooming the kindergarteners into being falcons fans.

well, it finally happened #econsky.

my partner is out with friends, my kid’s aftercare spot is doing an “after dark” special, and I’m… eating dinner and drinking a beer solo while reading an @ecmaeditors.bsky.social paper on my phone at the bar.

today, i allowed myself some excitement about research for the first time in a long time by looking at some dormant papers that need to be revised and sent back out, just as a little treat, as i feel the end of the semester approaching. 📈📉
