Here in Ecuador the Court has ruled that the environment has legal rights to protection. A little good news on an otherwise grim day:

This probably should have been shared more before the epic drought in South America, Asheville NC (of all places) was hit with a hurricane, the unprecedented wildfires in Southern California and a rather hefty winter storm took aim at the Deep South.

Yesterday we found Mikko, newborn abandoned at the Mercado. Today we were able you rescue one of her siblings. Another one didn’t make it.

We had an unexpected visitor to the cat food bowl tonight, certainly not expected by the cat. The visitor had a bright green underbelly.
