The real GOATs . . . of kudzu removal!

Folks traveling past the Depot might have seen some new temporary residents behind the fence. These goats are snacking their way through the invasive kudzu growing in that area. Enjoy the trailside goat watching & please refrain from touching/feeding the goats

Personality hires: every workplace needs one, & Mr. B[ureaucat] is ours.
Did he kill any mice this year? Irrelevant.
Did he sleep through every Finance Committee meeting? Who could say?
But what he lacks in specialized skills, Mr. B more than makes up for in good vibes.
Happy “gotcha month,” Mr. B!

Never been one to throw shade, but we sure do enjoy providing it!

On your next trip to the City Sports Complex, check out the new skate park sunshade. Fun fact: the installation of this sunshade is the result of one young resident's civic engagement with the Parks, Trails, & Recreation Committee!

Ever wonder how many people use Brevard's ~7 miles of paved greenways in town & 8 miles of natural-surface trails in Bracken? Check out some snapshots of use along the Estatoe

The early-20th-century boom in Black-owned businesses in Brevard can be partially attributed to the employment opportunities for African American residents created by Joseph Silversteen’s tannery, built in 1917:
