We are on movie 5. It has a big opera scene in it.
I comment that I am not fond of opera.
Hubby asks is it because they (operas) are all on a foreign language.

Last night my grandson hugged me, told me he loves me. He also said I’m the bestest. I said Well, you’re the bestest grand kid.
He says No, you’re the bestest, because you take care of me!

Not sure why CDC is calling me. It seems a little sus.
If it’s a scam, they are persistent.
But if it’s real, I’m sure they just need to ask DHS/NSA or any other alphabet soup agency for the info they want.

As an armchair linguist, I notice that the word politics, and the word polite, have the same root.
However, they no longer have anything in common, because politics is no longer polite.
It has become vicious, vindictive, and literally visceral.
How do we get back to the root of the word?
