At the weekend I met a farmer in Abbeyleix who told me the next CAP package would be the last one for small farmers in the midlands and north west : I told him we can’t allow that to happen and today I received support for the same view when I spoke in the @EuropeanParliament Agri committee

I have just seen a bill from ESB Group for 8000 euro! Energy prices are crucifying small business & leading directly to higher food prices in Ireland & throughout Europe: the facts are clear and the European Commission carries much of the blame so it’s time to change the agenda NOW!
