Loving these two teacups I managed find in Suzhou.

By pure luck, I came across this small shop filled to the brim with all kinds of teaware. I spent close to 15 minutes digging through this one box of teacups before picking out these two.

Zheng Yan Jin Mu Dan (正岩金牡丹)

This yancha has a strong, perfume-like, flowery aroma and the usual roasty and rocky flavors. It's pretty dry, and will easily turn almost metallic, if over-brewed.

Used my parents' old teapot for brewing Earl Grey. I drink it with milk.

Really enjoying this Fuding Bai Mu Dan white tea. The leaves are so beautiful and pleasant to brew.
Bai Mu Dan tea leaves piled on a small plate. There are some hairy buds mixed with a bit larger opened leaves. The leaves have clear signs of oxidation, but they remain quite green. Steeping the leaves in a hohin. Made quite a strong first brew with the color becoming pale yellow. The leaves inside the hohin after brewing.

It reads: YUNNAN QIZIBING TEA Yunnan Qizibing Tea - Yuan Tea,is selected from "puer tea" which popular both home andabroad as the raw materials.It's made through a process of optimum fermentation and high-temperature. The tea features a bright red-yellowish colour with a pure aroma and after drinking sweet.Drinking our product is believed to quench thirst,aid digestion, refreshing and dispel fatigue. 云南省黎明农工商联合公司茶厂出品 PROUD PRODUCT OF LIMING AGRO-INDUSTRIAL-CONMERCIAL COMBINES TEA FACTORY ,YUNNAN

Jing Dian 58 Dian Hong has the leaves rolled into beautiful straight needles.

While the scent of the dry leaves clearly has smoke and tar, that's pretty much absent from the brewed tea itself.

Taste has hints of autumnal apple and birch flavors combined with heavy maltiness.
