Interestingly, individuals from various walks of life, from working professionals and schoolchildren to the homeless, pass through the park and weave through the neighborhood to reach the other side. Once the neighborhood park officially opens, it's bound to be a fascinating place.

It's great to see my neighbor and his husband walking their cats in the new park trails every morning.

On a happier note, the park is getting better. You can now see actual play equipment standing in the middle of the sandbox. It's good to see such a positive change in our local outdoor area.

Coming home from Mom's late last night, I spotted something unsettling. A man was sleeping on an old lazy boy chair, dumped by a neighbor. Under the dim streetlights, his unmoving figure was creepy. The silence made it worse. Seeing him on my street like that frightened me.

I love watching the progress of the new park being built outside my window. It makes the mornings even more exciting.

Outside my window, a large truck filled our street with mulch for the new park that's replacing the old golf course. Now a big mountain of it sits outside, ready for the workers to spread it all over the new patch of land.

Every time I hear a truck outside, I rush to the window. It could be anything - a delivery, some construction work, the mail lady, UPS, FedEx, or neighbors moving. All of it grabs my interest. It's like watching a real-life movie from my window.
