Well I made it. 365 days, a full year of daily mech madness with a side of “Dumbass” Dave shenanigans thrown in. To celebrate my vacation all trash cans are on sale.

The Urbanmech from TRO’s 3025, 3039, 3050, 3060, 3085, and every stupid meme you can think of. This 30 ton light is an abomination that I am personally just over. It’s armed with an AC/10, a small laser, and terrible jokes. 11 single heat sinks keep things cool and there’s enough armor for about 2 minutes of combat, tops. Currently there are 13 variants available, each created by someone who really thought they were clever. Can you tell I’m just over this thing completely?

Last day of the weekend, last day before I go on vacation. Good times all around this weekend, mostly because we kept “Dumbass” Dave occupied with being wet

The Katana from TRO 3050. This 85 ton assault began life as a reverse engineered Crockett. Once the Combine was able to produce the weapons it was renamed the Katana and immediately began to replace the Chargers in the DCMS. It’s armed with 2 large lasers, 2 SRM/6’s, an LB AC/10-X, and a pair of small lasers. It carries 20 single heat sinks to keep things cool and it’s protected by 12.5 tons of armor. There are 4 variants of the Katana currently available

The holiday weekend is going swimmingly here in our neck of the Deep Periphery. The taco truck is packed (snack bar is still closed) and “Dumbass” Dave is soaked in the dunk tank

The Flashman from TRO’s 2750, 3025, 3039, and 3050. This 75 ton heavy first entered service in 2701, a product of Defiance Industries. It’s armed with 3 large lasers, 5 medium lasers, and a flamer for anti infantry duties. Defensively it carries 13.5 tons of armor and an anti missile system, and although 15 double heat sinks are standard for cooling it’s not recommended to say “Aloha” too often. Top speed is a brisk for a heavy 86 KPH. There are 6 variants available at this time

The Alpha Wolf from Il Clan Recognition Guide vol. 24. This 90 ton assault OmniMech marks a change for its designers, Clan Wolf. The primary configuration is armed with a pair of RAC/5’s and a pair of LRM/15’s. Defensively it carries stealth armor with its accompanying ECM suite, and cooling is handled by 14 double heat sinks. Top speed is a bog standard 64 KPH. As the Alpha Wolf just entered production in 3150 there are currently only 3 alternate configurations available.

The Skinwalker (Ryoken III) from Il Clan Recognition Guide vol. 24. This 55 ton medium OmniMech is a Clan Wolf design, first seeing production in 3147. The primary configuration is armed with 2 large pulse lasers, 2 medium pulse lasers, and 2 SRM/6’s. It’s protected by 11 tons of ferro lamellor armor and carries 13 double heat sinks for cooling but it has an advanced interlaced cockpit, allowing for the removal of the gyro and freeing up tonnage. Top speed is 97 KPH. There are currently 6 standard alternate configurations of the Skinwalker currently available.

Well we made it through Hump Day so I guess I ought to be glad that I’m one step closer to the weekend and, more importantly, one step closer to my vacation with my Word of Blake “Kerfuffle” reenactment group.

The Merlin from TRO 3058. This 60 ton heavy was built in 3010 and as such was the first completely new Battlemech design in over 100 years. It’s armed with a PPC, 2 medium lasers, an LRM/5, a machine gun, and a flamer for war crimes, of course. It’s protected by 10.5 tons of armor and cooling is handled by 18 single heat sinks. Top speed is 65 KPH, about average for its weight class, and it can leap up to 120 meters thanks to 4 jump jets being standard. Currently there are 6 standard variants of the Merlin available to meet all your needs

Day 359 and put a sock in it, preppy! How much are these free burgers gonna cost me?

It’s a beautiful day here in my neck of the Deep Periphery. Both the suns are shining, the Squirrel-birds are quacking, and the gravity is close to 1.0 so my bones are strong.

The Gunslinger from TRO 3055. This 85 ton assault is a product designed by engineers from both the Draconis Combine and Fed Suns to help out the Vikings in Rasalhauge. Truly a group project. It’s armed with 2 Gauss rifles, 2 medium pulse lasers, 4 medium lasers, and for shits and giggles, a small laser, so there’s definitely a lot to work with. Defensively it sports 15.5 tons of armor in addition to an ECM suite and a Beagle active probe so it’s gonna be hard for your enemies to get the drop on you. 10 double heat sinks are onboard to keep things cool and top speed is a standard for an assault 54 KPH. The Gunslinger also features jump jets giving it a jumping range of 90 meters whenever you feel like flying. Currently there are 3 standard variants of the Gunslinger available.

The Firefly from TRO 3050. This 30 ton light was originally a Star League design that left with Kerensky and remained in production for the Clans. It’s armed with 3 medium lasers and an LRM/5. Defensively it carries 6.5 tons of armor and also features an anti-missile system. Cooling is handled by 10 single heat sinks and it can reach a top speed of 86 KPH as well as jump up to 120 meters thanks to standard jump jets. There are currently 11 variants available so you should be able to find one that meets your needs

Whew, another busy day down here at the Mech Yard. Lots of business today and we had one of the local taco trucks park next to our burnt out snack bar so everyone was happy.

The Nightsky from TRO’s 3055 and 3085. This 50 ton medium is a Lyran design, built to be an improved version of the Hatchetman and Axeman. It’s armed with a large pulse laser, 2 medium pulse lasers, a small pulse laser, and one big old 4 ton hatchet built right in to the right arm. It’s protected by 9.5 tons of armor and cooling everything down is the job of 11 double heat sinks. Top speed is a very respectable 97 KPH and the 6 standard jump jets give it a maximum jump range of 180 meters. There are currently 6 variants of the Nightsky available.

What a day it’s been at the Mech Yard today. We’re now hornet free thanks to “Dumbass” Dave but since he’s got such terrible aim the snack bar is closed and will probably take a month to rebuild.

The Spector from TRO 3058. This 35 ton light was originally a Star League design that’s been brought back albeit without some LosTech featured in the original design. It’s armed with an all energy weapon array with a large laser, 2 medium lasers, and a small laser. Defensively it carries 7.5 tons of standard armor with a Guardian ECM suite to boot. It has 11 double heat sinks onboard but with an all laser weapons array you might want to be judicious on how often you say “Aloha” to your enemies. Top speed is an excellent 118 KPH and with 7 standard jump jets leaps up to 210 meters are possible. There are currently 4 variants available.

The Pillager from TRO 3058. This 100 ton assault was originally built by the Star League as a bigger version of the Victor. It’s armed with 2 Gauss rifles, 4 medium lasers, and 1 large laser. It’s well armored with 19.5 tons of armor and it’s equipped with 14 double heat sinks to keep things cool in case you want to say “Aloha” to anyone. Top speed is 54 KPH and 3 jump jets give it a 90 meter jump radius. There are currently 6 variants of the Pillager available.

The Javelin from TRO’s 3025, 3039, and 3050. This 30 ton light recon machine is armed with a pair of SRM/6’s and that’s pretty much it. Not well armored so don’t get in a brawl. 10 single heat sinks for cooling and a top speed of 97 KPH. It is equipped with 4 jump jets giving it a jumping radius of 120 meters so that’s something. There are 9 standard variants of the Javelin available.

The JagerMech from TRO’s 3025, 3039, 3050, and 3060. This 65 ton heavy was Kallon Industries attempt at their very own Rifleman. It’s armed with 2 AC/5’s, 2 AC/2’s, and a pair of medium lasers. It carries just 6 tons of standard armor and cooling is provided by 10 single heat sinks. Top speed is just 64 KPH. As would be expected for a design this long in the tooth the JagerMech has 11 variants available.

The Naga from TRO’s 3050, 3055, and 3058. This 80 ton assault is a bit of an odd duck being a fire support assault with light armor and high maneuverability. The primary configuration is armed with a pair of Arrow IV launchers with 3 ER small lasers as secondary weapons. It carries only 9 tons of standard armor and cooling is handled by 12 double heat sinks. The 400 XL fusion plant propels it to a rapid for its size speed of 86 KPH. Currently there are 5 alternate configurations available.

The Thunder Hawk from TRO 3058. This 100 ton assault first entered service in the 2770’s and was brought back soon after the Clan Invasion began. It’s armed with 3 Gauss rifles and 4 medium lasers, keeping it simple. Defensively it’s protected by 19 tons of heavy armor and 10 single heat sinks are mounted to keep things relatively cool. The 300 XL engine propels the Thunder Hawk to a rather tepid top speed of 54 KPH. Currently 6 variants are available

It’s been awhile but the sign outside does say “Mech Yard” so what say we move an actual mech today? At least you don’t have to worry that “Dumbass” Dave has left candy wrappers in the cockpit

The Spartan from TRO’s 3058 and Golden Century. This 80 ton assault was extremely rare in the Inner Sphere with only about 2 dozen remaining in 3067, the bulk of those with the ComGuards (and a couple with my favorite band of mercenaries, Snoord’s Itregulars). The Spartan is armed with an ER PPC, 3 medium pulse lasers, and a pair of Streak SRM/2’s. It’s also equipped with TAG enabling it to spot for artillery. Defensively it has an anti missile system and it’s protected by 14 tons of Diamond Weave armor. Cooling is handled by 13 double heat sinks and top speed is 86 KPH, quick for its class. There are currently 5 variants available if the original does not suit your needs.

Sometimes people ask me “Steve, where do you get all the wonderful toys of destruction you sell?”. Those people are then checked for wires before being thrown out.

The Tokugawa from TRO 3058. This 60 ton heavy wheeled tank is a Kuritan design to no one’s surprise. The “new” tank entered service with DCMS in 3053 it’s armed with an LB-X AC/10, and SRM/6 (with Artemis IV fire control), and a pair of medium pulse lasers. It’s protected by standard Star Slab/2 armor and 10 single heat sinks handle the cooling. Top speed, courtesy of a Nissan 220 fusion engine, is a bang average 65 KPH. Currently there are 6 standard variants available to meet your enemy stomping needs.

The Hunter Light Tank from TRO’s 3026, 3039, and 3058. This 35 ton tracked vehicle is a cheap, effective unit seen all over the Inner Sphere and Periphery. The original is armed with a turret mounted LRM/20 and a flamer out back to take care of anyone sneaking up from behind. It’s protected by 6 tons of standard armor and cooling is handled by 10 single heat sinks. The Magna 175 power plant can propel it to a top speed of 86 KPH. There are at least 9 variants with weapons of various flavors to suit whatever your needs may be.

Day 347 and I’d like to be alone with the sandwich for a moment…

Do you ever have those days where things just aren’t right? Where the only way you can really find joy is to roll up a big ass gun and point it at your enemies? Well do we have you covered today…

#Battletech
The Hetzer from TRO’s 3026, 3039, and 3085. This 40 ton gun on wheels is a cheap way to get some big shells right in the face of whoever is bothering you. It’s armed with an AC/20. That’s it. Just point and shoot and let it do your talking. Defensively it’s protected by 6 tons of armor and the ICE power plant propels it to a top speed of 65 KPH. It’s simple and exceedingly cheap, exactly what you’d expect from Quikscell. But that means it might arrive missing a part or 2. There’s variants with almost any gun you can imagine replacing the AC/20, even a Clan version with heavy ferro fibrous armor and a HAG/30 if that’s what you need. Hetzers are especially popular out here in the Periphery where cheap simple firepower might be all that’s needed to keep pirates at bay.

The Partisan Heavy Tank from TRO’s 3026, 3039, and 3058. This 80 ton tank was designed to provide provide mobile anti aircraft support. It’s armed with 4 AC/5’s and 2 machine guns and its targeting system allows it to track up to 200 targets at once. It’s protected by Star Slab/7 standard armor and it uses a GM 240 ICE power plant propelling it to a top speed of 54 KPH. As you can imagine a unit of this vintage has 16 variants available with many different weapons load outs and different power plants for you to choose from. My personal favorite is the RAC version mounting 4 RAC/2’s, not because it’s the best version but just because I really love anything with an RAC.

Yet another gray, overcast, drizzly day here in my neck of the Deep Periphery. “Dumbass” Dave must be part duck because he’s been out in it all day.

The Chevalier from TRO 3060. This 35 ton wheeled tank has roots all the way back in the Star League but they’re still kicking around almost 400 years after being introduced. It’s armed with a turret mounted ER large laser and a pair of Streak SRM/2’s up front. The Chevalier carries 6.5 tons of standard armor and keeping things cool are 12 single heat sinks. Top speed is a rather tepid 97 KPH. 3 variants are currently available the most recent of which swaps out the 2 SRM/2 launchers for a single MML/5 and upgrades the armor to heavy ferro fibrous.

The Schiltron from TRO 3060. This 80 ton wheeled combat vehicle is not a true OmniVehicle but it was designed by Bulldog Enterprises for modular weapons systems so it’s close. The primary configuration is armed with a pair of Arrow IV launchers, 2 medium lasers, and 4 small lasers. Defensively it carries 10 tons of ferro fibrous armor and it has a fixed Guardian ECM suite and C3 master in all configurations. 10 single heat sinks handle cooling duties and the 220 XL power plant propels the Schiltron to a rather lethargic top speed of 54 KPH. Currently there are 6 standard alternate configurations available.

Well it’s Sunday and “Dumbass” Dave will be back from vacation tomorrow. Time to drain all the flamers and childproof all the ammo boxes

The Prowler from TRO 3085 Supplemental. This 55 ton tracked vehicle is amphibious and has completely sealed crew compartments so it can operate in hostile environments. It’s armed with a pair of medium pulse lasers and an LRM/10 mounted in the turret plus an SRM/2 mounted just above the driver’s compartment. It’s protected by 7 tons of standard armor and it features a Beagle Active probe to readily identify threats. The Prowler is powered by a Nissan 220 fusion power plant with an attached 10 single heat sinks for cooling. The Nissan engine can propel it to a top speed of 64 KPH and it has a 4.5 ton cargo compartment to carry supplies or additional equipment. Several variants are available most notably the WoB and RotS models. These swap out the LRM/10 for an MML/10 and use ER medium lasers and adds an M-pod and a C3 system plus can carry a full Level 1 of Battle Armor. The RotS is identical except uses a C3 slave instead

The Shandra Advanced Scout Vehicle from TRO 3145 RotS. This 25 ton recon buggy is perfect for scouting duties. It’s armed with an SRM/4 and an ER small laser with a pair of machine guns out back to take care of any pesky infantry you just zipped by before they can call in contact with the enemy. Defensively the Shandra sports 4 tons of Krupp 155 armor and a Guardian ECM suite to cause chaos with enemy sensors, hiding friendly units following up. It’s powered by a 180 rated fusion power plant with 10 single heat sinks to keep things cool, and it can propel this armed beach buggy to a brisk top speed of 129 KPH. One ICE powered variant was initially produced but its only armament was the 2 MG’s and very few were sold.
