It's not hoarding if it's vinyl. Husband, dad, designer, music nerd. Co-host of The Hard Volume Experience podcast - new episodes coming in 2026. Occasionally requires caffeine.

I'll have to let you know if there's a quality difference once I get it in the Spin Clean. Stay tuned.

Thanks! Yeah, Miles was reasonable. VG copy with an OK jacket. Gordo was definitely not reasonable – well, not to me – but it's hard to find his stuff down here; couldn't resist.

Not a bad haul today. There was a record show a town over – I almost didn't go. Glad I went (with support from my fam) and supported some indies.

Got an original ’69 pressing of "In a Silent Way", a Hüsker Dü, a Japanese pressing of "Wired", and an audiophile grade of Gordo’s "Sundown".

If you need further evidence that people are messy and sometimes incompatible: organizing books by color or alphabetically is still a thing.

Spent another good chunk of the day learning Framer. I haven't been this jazzed about making a website in a while. But then the smarter person entered the room: "Dad, are you STILL working on that?" my son asked. Point taken - Dad should be playing with the kids. Laptop, closed.

Messing with Framer today. The last of my '25 bucket. Conversion from Figma (via plugin) isn't perfect, but it's really good.

That’s it! Keep an eye out for the Second Coming of The Hard Volume Experience in 2026 – that’s the podcast I do with Joe Natoli once and a while where we talk about all kinds of music and have a lot of fun in the process.

You’re still here? It’s over. Go home. Go.

8. Motörhead – No Sleep ’Til Hammersmith, 50th anniversary reissue / 2025. The Motörhead 50th Anniversary LPs have been killing it.

7. Mountain Caller – Chronicle: Prologue / 2021. Lucked out. I scored one of the few 12” EPs left in the band’s storage.

INDIE RECORD STORES
I usually visit a shop or two when I travel. RSD leftover bins are fun. Oh, and then there’s retail therapy.

Some great shows are on my horizon in ’26 including AC/DC and Iron Maiden. Psyched.

This Will Destroy You

Caught them at the Black Cat in DC with Joe. It almost made up for having to be in DC. Lots of rotation in TWDY, I still love 'em. Started listening when I lived around DC ages ago so being in the same room as them inside of the district was a full circle moment.

Didn’t realize Zakk Wylde would be there – geeked out a lot. Little did we know what Zakk would be up against later this year.

Metallica, Suicidal Tendencies, Pantera

Epic. Great night out with my beautiful wife and good friends. Most money I’ve ever paid to start a small earthquake. Virginia Tech can’t stop talking about it – and for good reason. No point mentioning band members by name – everybody was stellar.

Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton

Melodious. Split stage: one side for loud pop favorites, the other side for acoustic sets. Still the only Elvis I want to listen to. Sexton is magic. Saved for last: all the good ones from “This Year’s Model”.

John Fogerty's Creedence Clearwater Revival Celebration Tour

Total nostalgia. Those songs are tattooed on our hearts. John’s the real deal. Always has been. 80 years young (at heart). Pinch me, I can’t believe I got to see him play in-person.
