The one nice thing about being misgendered all the time lately? Getting called “boss”. Like “hey boss, welcome, what can I get you?” 💅

I have to share this adorable and ridiculous photo of Boba that was taken by @omahadogbar during daycare. When I describe this place to people, their response is always “what kind of bougie hell is that?!” 🤣

Also got advice from someone who works in federal regulation of banks to freeze your credit if you haven’t done it already.
Suggestion to Americans: If you used a current bank account with funds on a recent tax return, it may be wise to contact your bank and request a change. Account and routing numbers are accessible, and Elon Musk’s staff have access to this information. Stay safe and protect your assets.

One of the things that I LOVED when moving to this country about a decade ago from a country with far less regulation was how we trusted things to just _work_. That feeling was taken for granted by folks who grew up here. And now it's gone. Welcome to what the first half of my life felt like.

So I’ve been obsessed with this mini game in Dave the Diver where you play cards “against” these silly clown versions of NPCs…. Only to find out it’s the very same Balatro everyone’s been obsessing about this whole time. Lol!!

This is why I just use “they” for most situations until someone tells me otherwise. But also, let people put whatever they want in email signatures. They put freaking Strengthsfinders scores in there, what’s pronouns to them.
This is becoming absurd—federal employees are now being told to remove pronouns from their email signatures. We will always stand by our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, no matter how many things we’re asked to delete or change. Inclusivity is at the core of who we are.

We need some calming vibes around here. Here's a little mashup video I took of my snorkeling adventures with Andrea while we were in Hawaii.

Wtf?! This is much more pointed than I was expecting.

A similar trend is already happening in Nebraska.

"They're expecting to be censored. They're expecting the state to want to do things against them, and so they feel less comfortable talking about these topics openly, which ultimately affects our education." abcnews.go.com/amp/US/dei-f...
When DEI is gone: A look at the fallout at one Texas university
Students at the University of Texas-Austin have been in mourning as they watched the impact of anti-diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) legislation on their campus.

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.

Don’t think it won’t happen again when they come for the “undocumented.”

What up Bluesky! Fall is underway and Nebraska seems to understand the assignment. Maybe I’m cynical but how soon do you think we can last before Enshittification happens here too?
