A pet peeve in movies and TV shows is characters drawing diagrams on clear glass instead of whiteboards. Yes, it's cinematic to be able to shoot through the glass and the diagram, but this would just be harder for the characters in the scene to see the same writing on something opaque.

I have to wonder on this late Christmas Eve how many conservatives love the classic movie It's a Wonderful Life well completely missing the movie's messages about class and economics and greed. Hoping we have a Capra-esque 2026.

I'm really amused by the thought of inviting somebody over to my apartment and has practical joke have the whole place decorated with Jack Elam merchandise. The problem: As far as I know there is no such thing as #JackElam merchandise.

I never would have imagined it could be so effective a strategy to repeatedly distract from a politically damaging thing by doing another politically damaging thing to redirect the news cycle.

I was watching the dubbed version of #Godzilla vs Destoroyah and they just made mention of the China Syndrome. No idea if that was the term used in the original Japanese dialogue, but amused by the thought of this being inappropriate for incident in Japan. Maybe "The Brazil Syndrome?"

Every time I hear Marlon Brando as Jor-el in #Superman pronounce Krypton as CRYP-tin I just imagine director Richard Donner taking a deep breath and thinking "Pick your battles, pick your battles."
