It’s nice to stay at bigger airports sometimes… although waiting for several planes to land when the cabin is above 90F is horrible. This was KJAX last week. Also, this is probably where we ingested a bird, possibly during our taxi.

Having a bird get sucked into our engine was not great, but at least this is one of the better places to be grounded for a while. A per diem killer though

Biggest downside of working as an aerial sensor operator is the on-call time. Often due to maintenance or crew scheduling. Two weeks of no work this rotation due to a damaged propeller on one plane and the landing gear hydraulics failing on the plane I was reassigned to for my remaining week.
