I really need to work on my coloring but overall I think this is solid. Poor Iceman all the way in the back 😅 I settled on composition and I didn't realize how tiny he would be. Oops! Anyways, almost done with the OG X-Men run, good stuff!

I never really do portraits, so this was a "first time" kind of thing. I think the linework was overall solid, but it's showing my massive blindspot that is coloring. I have a lot to learn!

Daniel Warren Johnson did some fantastic art with Absolute Batman and it made the rounds online. Someone mentioned the idea for Superman to do something similar while homaging the original Action Comics #1 cover and I went for it.

I need to read some Zatanna, she seems like a really cool character.

I tried to play to loose with the smoke but I feel I went too loose. Tried to go for a classic magician "poof" appearance. Tried a spark thing too but it didnt quite work for me. Ah well, lessons learned.

Drew Cyclops for the first time! I've been reading X-Men as they've been a blind spot for me and I've sketched some X-Men before but nothing really polished. Was fun to get back to traditional as well! Digital has its advantages but I feel more comfortable with traditional.

Bit of a redraw of my other Wonder Woman drawing I did a few weeks back but I felt I could do the pose better and tried it again with Power Girl!
This one was a lot of fun and very good practice!
I think next time I'm going to actually try to draw a background lol I tend to avoid it

So just a little update over here:
I've been practicing art for a good couple of years now. And I think I'm at a place where the best practice I can do, is finally start doing what I've been wanting since I started: make comics!

Varajeli (name may change) is one of the main characters in my planned webcomic, she's still a work in progress but this is the first piece of finished art I've done of her!
My webcomic will force me to practice writing, drawing comics, and working with deadlines. Excited to get to it!

Wonder Woman drawing! I've been doing this new thing over on Instagram (where I mainly post to) where, to get back into posting art again, I'm going to post some simple drawing every week. This was last week's. I figure I should start posting more here too!

Idk it started as just a simple Wonder Woman sketch and I got carried away with the background.

One of the things I'm most proud of in my art journey is documenting my daily practice/progress from the day I decided I wanted to become an artist, up until about 5 years later when I injured my wrist and physiclaly couldn't draw anymore and thus ruined my daily post streak 😅

Temporarily posting my old works here since my feed will be pretty dry until I get to finish my portfolio work 😅
