I wonder if Mannion goes almost clean slate on the staff. I truly think they need to bring in guys that know that system

Watching a few clips of the Shrine bowl run game. Mannion's team ran a bit of power. Hopefully it makes a comeback here

I'm going to pause my Eagles stuff to say the fact that reporters and independent journalists are starting to be rounded up for reporting the terrible things going on in MIN & other places is terrifying

We obviously have no idea what Sean Mannion will and will not bring with him in terms of ideas from Green Bay...but this is a very funny graph.

Will it be out with the hitches and in with the...outs?

One of my favorite things about the potential style of offense Mannion may bring is the QB won't be asked to make such low % throws consistently and WRs won't be asked to win on what feels like isolation routes consistently.

What everyone wants to know about Sean Mannion's recent past...

2025 Hitch Route%
PHI 23.8% (1st)
GB 13.3% (27th)

I’ll give a more detailed post tomorrow but I really like the Mannion hire & I’m excited for the new concepts he’ll bring in 2026. It’s very much needed & I’m glad they didn’t do what was “comfortable” or easy.

I understand your points & your concerns are warranted… but in the same vein, experienced doesn’t also mean good. If it was between an up & comer like Mannion or other guys like Grizzard or JBC just for the fact that they’ve called plays in the league… give me the high risk/reward guy 10/10 times.

If Mannion brings that Shanahan/McVay scheme eagles better get some WRs that can block and TEs
January 30, 2026 at 12:04 AM
I wonder if Mannion bring in any new coaches?
January 29, 2026 at 11:41 PM
Let's see how it goes. If he can use Smitty the way other Shanahan/McVay guys use their WRs I'm excited
Eagles to hire Sean Mannion as OC.

Eagles hire Grizzard as OC, Kefense Hynson as SOA and Frank Smith as RGC. Sirianni stands back and watches the show
January 29, 2026 at 9:20 PM
I'd take Grizzard. Gimme that Shanahan scheme

Really starting to buy in to the idea of Sean Mannion as the OC in 2026. Sign me up!

Just seen that Schefter thing about Sirianni calling plays if they can't find anyone. 1. We know he can't call plays 2. WTF does that even mean? 3. What does that signal to the candidates?

I'm happy to see these seem to have basically put an end to the viral "Superman is boring/irrelevant/only works as a villain" takes I kept seeing throughout my late teens and early 20s.
Now the collective reaction is "Superman is awesome and makes me want to be a better person"

If what I read is true and Stout might be just an OL coach I can see Shanahan guys having an easier time with that
January 29, 2026 at 12:34 AM
No thanks
Colts offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter interviewed in-person on Tuesday for the #Eagles’ offensive coordinator job, per @espn.com

His first interview was virtual. Cooter and Packers QB Coach Sean Mannion have both had in-person interviews this week.

I also think it's clear they want a Shanahan/McVay guy this time. Mannion has spent more time with McVay guys then any other system. It's similar but they approach it a little differently
January 28, 2026 at 7:25 PM
I'm fully on the Mannion train
January 28, 2026 at 6:50 PM
Ahh now it makes sense why Giants are still looking for OCs. Wonder what happens with Scheelhasse?
Schefter: Browns to hire Todd Monken as HC.

Eagles shifting to younger "upside" guys?
After Broncos passing game coordinator and QB coach Davis Webb interviewed this week for the Raiders and Bills head coaching jobs, he received interview requests for offensive coordinator jobs with the Eagles, Giants, and Ravens.
