added the smaller #hexagon system to the #minigolf game controls, with a yellow dot at the "true" position of the ball, because walls can react differently based on how you got to them. not quite sure how to fix/explain that yet

the walls for my #minigolf game wouldnt work perfectly, so i started redesigning them around smaller #hexagons. the ball will have a more precise position tracked, similar to sub-pixel positioning in platformers, so walls behave as expected

interesting problem with the Scientists right now: when they cant find a valid stockpile, they dont bother picking up the box, so it stays and stacks with other boxes. (also, added textures and limits to the stockpiles!) #gamedev #science #storage #boxes #chocolate #games

the Science game now checks if station placements are overlapping. it still allows stations that are floating, though, and wont support weirdly-shaped stations. i guess thats the next step!

you can build new stations now! i dont do any checks tho, so they can be placed floating or overlapping. the Scientists also dont check, so theyll be stuck trying to pathfind...

not much has changed visually in the Science game today, but its still super pleasing to watch! the main #gamedev focus today was to optimize existing scripts so they dont duplicate code. small changes are still changes!

working on getting saving/loading to fully work now. the Box generator doesn't save properly, and it looks like they get stuck sometimes while finishing machines. this will be painful to debug...

i spent today refactoring the Station system in my Scientist game to use ticks instead of timers, so hopefully saving and loading will be much easier. now to find how to save object references...

i finished the sequence editor to include the ability to add new ones, so you can have one for painting and one for painting and painting (yes, its still only painting)
