They should not allow individuals to own or control social media sites. At very least they should have a board of directors that has real say in what's going on.

More precisely the UK is leading a hard‑line response to X over AI‑generated abuse material and is in talks with Canada and Australia about potentially coordinated measures, including options that could effectively ban X, but those decisions are not finalized or enacted yet.
