Writing... personal
deadlines are important. I really need to set one for this draft.

Happy International Men's Day to all my men. Your strength, vulnerability, fortitude, and compassion make you a great role model for many. Thanks for always asking great questions and being there for me. I hope today will be as fantastic as you are!

Worth remembering the person who'd like to rip Alberta out of the Canada Pension Plan and build a brand new one out of scratch for which she has zero experience very recently freely admitted that HER OWN PEOPLE tell her she has poor judgement about what's real & what's not /8

What will do you to be happy today? Who's life can you make a little better today? What can you be curious about today?

Let the healing begin. Coffee and a full day on working on my next book. Time to heal. Time to
write.

Yesterday I had leg surgery and it went well. Three days home recovering and then I can start go do things again. Meanwhile, I have time to work on my novel.

I'm more and more interested in what is going well and less and less interested in hearing the drama of everything that's wrong. Positivity news.

July 7th's fortune: Remember that time when you wanted that thing that turned out to be a nightmare… you’re about to make the same mistake except this time it will cost you personal pride and likely a pan of rice krispie squares.

July 3rd's fortune: Watch that your train of thought isn’t derailed by bridge-out-ahead thinking.

July 2nd's fortune: Be cautious, you never know when money will fall out of the sky. With your luck it will be in the form of rolled coins.

It’s a one sock sort of morning, thinks Pike as he stands in front of the coffee pot, one blue plaid sock in his left hand and one solid green sock on his right foot. He pours the morning brew into a tall clear glass cup. It ticks once or twice as it accepts the steamy liquid from the carafe.

I'm noticing a move in conversation toward labeling people. We talk about colour, orientation, brain functions... etc. All may be important characteristics but I'm not sure that any are enough to build an identity around completely. I would love to see more discussion about qualities, like kindness.

If we become too efficient we can sometimes forget to enjoy the journey. Not everything is a race against time. Making two trips when you could have done it in one has different benefits.

The beautiful thing about personal progress is that we always know the next step to take toward our goals. The one after that may be fuzzy but will clear up immediately once we take the step we know. Be brave and press onward.

Glad to see the bsky team get more detailed and specific with their policies for this instance.

Moderation isn’t about getting it right on day 1; it’s about iterating, rapidly, when you get it wrong.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working on an updated Terms of Service that uses clearer language than our current one, and with it, updated community guidelines that are more specific than our current version. Here’s a preview:

I'm nervous to turn on the news this morning and find the results of the AB election. Democracy isn't functioning properly as civility has declined. I'm really looking forward to a time when people talk about vision and the future. We have so much to work on if humanity is to take the next step.
