A rights-based NGO from Myanmar/ Burma in Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC since 2018.
The idea of rebellion against tyranny is acknowledged in the UDHR as a moral justification for ensuring that human rights are protected. It remains a foundational philosophical justification for the existence of universal human rights. #whatshappeninginmyanmar

Myanmar is like a terminally ill patient. First aid helps, but it won't cure. Until the world treats the root cause—the military junta—the prognosis remains grim. #WhatsHappeninglnMyanmar

An election staged by a junta that crushed the people's will through bloodshed and terror isn't democracy. It's a tool to entrench oppression. The world must stop legitimising these farces. #WhatsHappeninginMyanmar

Myanmar’s crisis isn’t just a humanitarian emergency — it’s a political catastrophe rooted in impunity and structural violence. Without justice and accountability, any response will only prolong suffering and embolden the perpetrators #WhatsHappeninginMyanmar

Inclusivity must never be used as a tool to sanitize war criminals. In Myanmar, those who have burned our villages, bombed our schools, and massacred our people cannot and must not be part of the rebuilding process or the architects of peace. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar #ASEAN

Myanmar’s junta exploits forced labor, attacks civilians, and commits international crimes — all while flagrantly ignoring its obligations under the ILO. We call on all ILO Member States to invoke Article 33 sanctions now. No more impunity #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

Schoolchildren are massacred in #Myanmar junta airstrikes, but sure, tell us again how shaking hands with a war criminal was a smart move.

The junta has consistently exploited disasters to seek legitimacy, consolidate power, and attract resources. In such a context, humanitarian action must be grounded in the 𝑫𝒐 𝑵𝒐 𝑯𝒂𝒓𝒎 principle. Please do not strengthen the hands of our oppressors

One man’s greed for power is making an entire nation bleed. The #Myanmar junta chief exploits disaster relief to tighten his grip, turning aid into a weapon and tragedy into tyranny. While people suffer, he profits—and commits even more atrocities . #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

Displaced a year after the Arakan Army ousted junta forces and took over Paletwa, Chin children on the Mizoram border now face severe hardship, with little access to education, healthcare or food aid — their future deprived and uncertain. #WhatsHappeninginMyanmar #EndImpunity

Survivors of Myanmar’s earthquake carry not only the weight of rubble, but also the crushing burden of oppression, suppression, and obstruction — compounded by the weaponization of international aid. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar
📌Today, ND-Burma releases a new briefing paper: Beneath the Cracks: Devastation and Destruction by the Junta in the Earthquake Aftermath.

Despite a devastating earthquake one month ago, attacks by the junta have neither ceased nor slowed.

The ILO Conference must adopt the draft resolution invoking Article 33 against Myanmar’s junta. With no real accountability from other international mechanisms, urgent action is needed to end forced labor & rights abuses. The ILO must lead where others have failed to take action.

Collaboration with local school boards and institutions is helping restore a sense of normalcy and rebuild communities devastated by SAC military aggression. However, this progress has also made these areas targets of renewed and deliberate airstrikes. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

Enablers, domestic or otherwise, are by definition accomplice and should answer for their complicity for crimes the junta commits against the people of Myanmar
Following the meeting with Malaysian PM, Min Aung Hlaing has continued to
❌ Weaponize aid
❌ Intensify airstrikes
❌ Commit mass killings

Engaging with a #WarCriminal only perpetuates these horrors. Stop enabling atrocities!

We are deeply saddened by the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis. In a moment we will forever cherish, our representative had the honor of presenting him with the Chin traditional dress—a symbol of our people’s identity, resilience, and the dignity of all Indigenous communities

This escalation reflects a deliberate and chilling strategy—not just of military aggression, but of calculated state terror aimed at destabilizing local governance and obliterating public infrastructure in resistance-controlled areas. www.chinhumanrights.org/post-earthqu...

Silence or inaction under a brutal regime may be rationalised as self-preservation, but over time, it normalizes injustice and enables the junta’s rule. Worse, it dishonors those in the Civil Disobedience Movement who have risked everything for justice. #whatshappeninglnmyanmar

At 4 p.m. on April 13, the junta launched an airstrike on Mindat, destroying Myoma Baptist Church. No injuries were reported, as worshippers had avoided the church due to its vulnerability to air attacks. It is the second church destroyed by an airstrike in the area within a week

From bombing civilians to blocking food and medicine, the Myanmar junta is using aid as a weapon of war. Thousands are suffering, not from lack of aid—but from denial of access. This must stop! Humanitarian aid is not a bargaining chip. It’s a lifeline. #StopWeaponizingAid
