I wanna add to this that it's the wrong framing, bc really you're GIVING people FREEDOM by restricting their exposure to a deadly poison, it's literally like controls on the amount of lead in food you consume, not letting your people's minds be poisoned by neoliberal imperialism, etc.

US propaganda is imperialist, it directly oppses the interests of the working class. This however isn’t seen as propaganda because westerners are unaware that the things they believe have been shaped to make them align with their exploiters and the despots of the world.
