This is a form of imperialist propaganda. Claiming Maduro betrayed his people for some money, when there is zero evidence to make such a claim, and the actual reporting points to the US killing his team, benefits the imperialists looking to discredit him.

Funny how “the regime is starving the people” is always used to discredit governments in the global south trying to lessen people’s suffering and never the US, who is the one imposing the sanctions, blockades and austerity that lead to the food crises.

Because the US killed his security team.

Do people finally understand why countries not in the Imperialist Bloc have to be more vigilant? Why they restrict foreign media? Why they need deterrence?

People deride communists for being "authoritarian", but how else are they to survive amongst imperialists?

Funny how the west‘s “impartial media” always sides with the state when shit goes down.
NEW: Plans for secret U.S. raid to capture Maduro leaked to the Washington Post and New York Times before it happened, but both decided not to publish to protect U.S. troops - Semafor

This is why over emphasis of “the US empire is in decline” pisses me off. Lenin diagnosed imperialism as moribund, yet, 100 years later, it still lives on as an ever mutating corpse. There is no room for complacency.

The Venezuelan government armed countless of working class people in the run up to the invasion. The Americans will leave in body bags.
Maduro is a man of the people and has the overwhelming support of the people. If the US tries to put “boots on the ground” they will get packed the fuck up.

I wanna add to this that it's the wrong framing, bc really you're GIVING people FREEDOM by restricting their exposure to a deadly poison, it's literally like controls on the amount of lead in food you consume, not letting your people's minds be poisoned by neoliberal imperialism, etc.

The chief International Anchor for CNN is cheering on the unprovoked aggression against Venezuela and the kidnapping of its president. Never let these people lecture you about "democracy" or "international law".

The US intelligentsia is a bloodthirsty cohort of criminals.

For the record, "I'm not that upset because Maduro was bad" is the culmination of a decades long propagandizing against Venezuela. That attitude is exactly what they want.

US Americans claim other countries are less free because they rely on state media, not realizing that in the US the state and private media companies have fused into a single entity a long time ago.

Private corporations merely serve to maintain the appearance of separation.

People who are unable to recognize that all forms of political communication are propaganda, regardless of whether the communicator is Asian or not, are politically illiterate and orientalist racists.

The question isn’t whether people in the DPRK are more propagandized, but what the class character of that propaganda is and how it aligns with their interests.

US propaganda is imperialist, it directly oppses the interests of the working class. This however isn’t seen as propaganda because westerners are unaware that the things they believe have been shaped to make them align with their exploiters and the despots of the world.
