Things are changing in the rural villages of Karamoja. Local people are addressing issues like child protection, hygiene, hunger and education. They're changing mindsets and uniting their communities to create safe spaces where their children are protected and free to thrive.

Having the opportunity to learn in your mother tongue is fundamental to education. Hanifi is not only accelerating learning, but being able to read and write in their own language is giving the children a tremendous sense of pride.

Children in the Kutupalong classrooms we support just love learning Hanifi. Forjina told us it's the thing she looks forward to learning the most. She practices lots to improve her abilities.

Students in Bangladesh have been busy this week, sitting their exams. Programme Manager Sudeb Rudra told us that the children are focused and have been working hard. He said "The students’ keen eyes and focused attention inspire us greatly". Good luck to all our students taking their exams! 💫
