I’ve enjoyed the Bears finding ways to win these crazy games. It’s a drop in the bucket for making up for a lifetime of losing countless games like that.
Now, I’ll believe they can win meaningful games against the NFC North when I actually see it. Especially with that defense.

Sometimes I think we look at NFL QBs today through the same lenses we looked through when we had the era of Brady, Manning, Brees, Rothlesberger, Rodgers, Rivers all at their peaks at the same time when we really shouldn’t be.
That era created an unrealistic expectation, imo.

Shota accepting the QO is pretty ideal, imo.
Like I said I don’t want to just kick him to the curb, but avoiding a long term deal at the moment potentially gives you flexibility.

I didn’t want to just kick Shota to the curb, his overall performance as a Cub has been good.
But if you indeed let him walk and reinvest in bigger arm(s) with more swing and miss and less fkyballs, well, so be it I suppose.

3.20 ERA, 1.1 WHIP, 1.9 BB/9, 7.1 K/9, 38 quality starts (tied 11th in MLB) in 68 starts - 393.2 IP
All while making under $20 million per season. Tremendous value. Jed did great here, imo.

Idk how this Bulls run will last, but I think Matas Buzelis being a dude feels very real regardless.

Funny thing is,
I think Caleb Williams has shown me he can be a serviceable QB in this league. We’ve seen SO much worse.
That said, he’s a #1 overall pick, and serviceable can’t be the ceiling. Can he get there? We will see. Not saying he won’t, can’t blindly say he will.

Funny thing is,
