i def encourage artists or anyone whose been at a skill for a few years to find an old piece & remake it. its such a great way to see your progress esp if youve been feeling a plateau. I also like choosing pieces i was disappointed in, its like revisiting an old area in an RPG after you lv'd up lol

Actually yes, if you want to start drawing or you now someone who wants to, tracing photos is a good way to start, is an good exercise to train you precision drawing traces, a good way to memorize anatomy and shapes and even many artist trace other's people art to find is own style later
just a reminder that tracing photos and photo bashing is good and based and you shouldn’t feel bad about doing it if it will save you time
