I know it's just a stupid commercial (with some terrible de-aging), but Jurassic Park's problem couldn't have been solved with "better wifi" - it was a computer virus!

Really enjoying the drone shot work at the Olympics. Give you a perspective on the speed and athleticism on display in ways traditional camera angles couldn't.

Every so often I remember that Hollywood still hasn't delivered the Elizabeth Debicki, Gwendoline Christie, Kate Kennedy tall women kicking ass movie that we all deserve (or a comedy - let them laugh too!)

Didn't realize how re-watch heavy December had become, so the picking for favorite first time watches was slimmer than I expected. But I did enjoy these.
Working on 2025 favorites list, but probably need 3-4 weeks to catch up on as many of the year end releases as possible.

My October top 4 favorite first-time watches literally featured my top 3 movies for the year, so November had its work cut out for it. But, November had some great movies all its own, 3 of which occupy the top 15 of my ongoing best of 2025 list.

October wasn't just round the clock horror movies (but it was close), it also ended up being a damn good movie month. 3 of the movies on my list for favorite first-time watches for the month are also at the top of my 2025 list (so far)

"Klaatu Barada N..cough cough cough" will never not be funny.

Army of Darkness has not gotten any less awesome in the 30 years since I first saw it.

September was a pretty weak month for first-time watches. Not that I didn't really enjoy a couple of these, but not a lot of strength (like what October will bring).

Better late than never? Favorite first time watches for July and August.

A lot of new movies, a lot of theaterical movies. It's summer movie season, so not that unusual.

With all these catalog titles getting deluxe 4K releases, where's my Josie and the Pussycats 4K, huh?

Seriously...I want that disk.

I feel like I have to apologize to all involved in taking so long to catch up with We Are Lady Parts season 2 - because that was (another) damn fine season of television.

June's almost up, but I forgot to post my top four favorite first time watches for May! A real smattering of genres at the top this month.

April was the best month for first-time watches this year by a wide margin. By coincidence all were 2025 releases and all were pretty action-y.

Mission: Impossible series re-watch continues - finally in part 4, "Ghost Protocol" we finally get a villain who isn't a problem IMF internally created themselves.

3 movies into a Mission Impossible series re-watch and its clear IMF has some terrible hiring practices.
For a spy agency, a background check or two would solve all the problems poor Ethan Hunt gets blamed for.

The auto show as a kid: Which of these bad-ass super cars will I be driving as an adult.

The auto show as an adult: Which of these reasonably priced cars will not sink me into massive debt and I can see myself tolerating for a decade.

The magic....is long gone.

Happy Sunday to me! Less than half my Sunday average.
