The remote work debate was funny because it forced the question "Is a job something valuable you do or is it a place you go to be watched like daycare" and the answer for a lot of them was yeah it's the daycare thing now come on inside recess is over

Navgurukul is one of the most unique and fascinating non profits I have ever come across. The way there exam-less, teacher-less, self-motivated and peer based pedagogy is transforming the lives of one of the most marginalised women of India is truly unbelievable!
Cheers to the team!
NavGurukul has been lucky to work with these young women from Bihar. They’re breaking barriers, learning to code, and dreaming of brighter futures. Their stories reflect the heart of what we do at NavGurukul: creating access to opportunities where none existed before.

Young Bihari women are India's brave new coders. Bengaluru is their dream
As the women work on their coding tasks at the residential school, the trainer plays music from her phone to keep the atmosphere lively. Only English pop—to help them learn the language.

The AQI in Delhi has started decreasing and perhaps that's why I have started spotting these beauties jumping around roofs and streets.

Woah. Martial law in South Korea, collapsing of French Government and shooting of CEO of UHC... World news in the past few days has been crazy..
Are these symptoms of tumultuous times ahead?

If you’re afraid that books might change someone’s thinking, you’re not afraid of books, you’re afraid of thinking.

Couldn't agree more! Not only libraries offer expanded access, and an immersive env.
But also a reason to finish a book in limited time..
When I buy a book, my brain says "I own it now, I can read it anytime" & then the book sits forever on a decorated bookshelf, acting as a nice photo background 📚
There's a certain glamorization of bookstores in the zeitgeist. And of book-buying and collection, but not so much of expanded access and actual reading. TBR piles matter more than what people have read. In my mind, those are the clouds I'm shouting at.

Australia banned social media for kids. And, even WHO recommends digital detox breaks as part of mental health routines.
Note to self- stay connected by disconnecting.

I found my mom watching a real estate video today about some project in Gurgaon where a small 3BHK is easily 25-30 Million INR.
Tall pristine sky scrapers with modern day luxuries, but with a backdrop of grim, dusty, smog filled sky.
Is it really worth spending retirement corpus on a choking city?

We indeed are perhaps at the cusp of a major shift in the world..

Oxford recently declared "Brain Rot" as phrase/word of the year. Irony is that, here I am, talking about it on yet another social media platform with infinite scroll.

This is the power that meditation makes us harness. And sadly, the power of this pause is often underrated in the society.
