kills me but also tragically true. i know that akechi was involved in the ruse around this, but everything that people say about him leans into all of his worst neuroses, which absolutely made him resent the very idea of akira even more than he already did.

corpse fic is probably the most horny thing i've written "gale you wrote that one explicit fic" ehhh its not really horny. akira is desperately on edge about akechi all throughout corpse fic and getting their hands All Up In There. what else could you describe being wrist deep inside someone's ribs.

also the conceit of akechi as the creature from frankenstein is always Me Going Teehee and Giggling Delightedly. akechi has so many connections to adam which make me go crazy every time.

corpse fic, as i affectionately call it, is about being trans in the modern age to me but also idk if someone else would read it in the same way i would. something about the premise of having to put your body back together with craft supplies has always been a very Transgender Feeling to me.

the fact that if you respond with 'same here', he goes "you really are..." as though legitimately shocked to hear akira say that makes me Fucking Crazy! akechi complimenting akira at every angle while also despising those same positive traits, loving those qualities, wishing to have and be that.
Your deft handling of your unfortunate circumstances, your uniqueness, your ability to surpass me—all these irritate me. You're the one person I refuse to lose to.
